**Ticket orders will NOT be accepted after this Thursday, April 26!!**
Please see the form that was sent home or on the “forms” page on this site for all of the details, including how to order tickets. I also have extra copies of the forms at school. Once students turn in ticket orders, I will then copy them the music which they MUST
MEMORIZE. There will be NO REHEARSALS during school for this event—all practicing must be done outside of school.
6th and 7th Grade
Concert Date: THIS WEDNESDAY April 25th— all of the information was sent home at the beginning of last week !! It is also posted in the “Forms” section of this website. All students are expected to help put the chairs and stands away after the concert, and percussion will be responsible for making sure the equipment gets safely organized back in the band room.
8th Grade and Jazz Band
Concert Date: May 9th—all of the information was sent home at the beginning of last week!! It is also posted in the “Forms” section of this website. The 8th grade choir will be joining us at this Disney-themed concert, and it will most certainly be a lot of fun! All students are expected to help put the chairs and stands away after the concert, and percussion will be responsible for making sure the equipment gets safely organized back in the band room.
All Grades will be working on the chromatic scale this quarter, and as always, can take the scale quiz early, or as often as they choose before the deadline at the end of the quarter.
There are only 3 jazz rehearsals left until our concert! While spring coaches and I have a mutual agreement about splitting time, any student that is in a spring sport MUST ATTEND the ENTIRE May 7th rehearsal.
7th Grade Performance at Promotion
Each year, the 7th grade band honors our 8th graders by playing at the promotion ceremony. It will take place at Plainfield South High School on Thursday, May 24th. Students must report to PSHS’ gym in their band uniform at 6:30, as we will need to warm up and tune before the promotion beginning at 7pm. Students will NOT be able to get into Aux Sable after 4pm that day—please plan accordingly! Also, students are responsible for helping put all of the percussion and stands away in the band room at the high school.
If you have any questions, please e-mail me, as that is the best way to reach me. Have a great week!
